OverviewParade College invites applications for a customer-focused Library Technician to join the Nash Learning Centre library team.About the Nash Learning CentreThe Nash Learning Centre offers a range of innovative, multidisciplinary, and technology-rich learning environments designed to support deep learning in an inclusive atmosphere.
It provides individual study spaces, group learning areas, collaboration spaces, presentation and display areas, project and wet areas, focus laboratories, outdoor learning spaces, breakout areas, and spaces for teacher meetings and resource supply.ResponsibilitiesPrint room duties in collaboration with staff and library techniciansCirculation desk duties during the day for returns, borrowing and enquiriesGeneral supervision of students and maintenance of behaviour within the Learning CentresObtain information requested by staff and students; facilitate use of the Learning Centre Management System, the Learning Centre Homepage and relevant digital resourcesMaintain a high level of knowledge of current fictionFoster a love of readingCoordinate Learning Centre Oliver System (including overviews and cataloguing)Assist with online learning design for LearnPath and other digital resourcesFacilitate maintenance of A / V equipmentRecord statistics and prepare reports, including A / V resourcesQualifications and ExperiencePrevious experience working as a Library Technician, preferably in a school settingAbility to work collaboratively and energetically within a dynamic organisationProactive with initiative and willingness to accept responsibilityUndergraduate qualifications in library / information studies or working towards this qualification (not essential)Experience in the Oliver Library Management SystemExperience in cataloguing or A / V equipment maintenanceCurrent Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtainWorking at Parade CollegeWorking within and around outstanding grounds and facilitiesCollaborative staff environmentOnsite allocated car park spaceOnsite gymPay and conditions set by a state-wide enterprise agreementThe satisfaction of contributing to the educational development of our young peopleTermsThis is a fixed-term position available for immediate start or by negotiation for the remainder of the 2025 and 2026 academic years.
Full-time and part-time applications will be considered.
