Engineering & Innovation Manager - Solar
Location : Auckland, NZ
Salary : $150,000 + bonus

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the engineering design and delivery of multi-site solar and renewable projects (utility and commercial scale).
- Strong problem solving skills
- Combine Financial modeling, CAD design, Assembly, Technology into a commercial solution.
- Use financial modelling + CAD to optimise project viability and design efficiency.
- Allocate work, mentor your team, and manage engineering priorities effectively.
- Collaborate with international supply chains — selecting suppliers, negotiating, and improving product quality / cost.
- Drive product development : refine designs, change suppliers, and adapt assembly methods to cut cost and boost performance.
- Balance technical compliance with a commercially astute approach to value engineering.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years in large-scale solar / renewable projects (international experience highly valued)Proven people leadership (3+ years managing teams, task allocation, mentoring).Fluent in engineering design tools (CAD) and financial modelling.Problem-solving chops : able to diagnose and fix issues on-site, not just behind a screen.Experience with supplier management and international supply chains.Masters in Engineering (or equivalent design / technical qualification).Why Join?
