It is owned by Awanui Group and is part of a network delivering exceptional care.About the roleWe are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician to join the Anatomical Pathology team.

This is a fixed-term, full-time position lasting 12 months.You will be eager to develop new skills in the specialized environment of anatomical pathology, able to work independently and collaboratively.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-focused, and committed to quality and patient care.

The role requires exceptional accuracy, strong analytical abilities, and the initiative to thrive in a precise and demanding setting.About youTeam-focused with initiative and excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.Excellent attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.Ability to work independently within a supported team.Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician.Flexibility with working hours to meet team needs.Sound knowledge of laboratory operations, safety, equipment operation, and hands-on histology experience preferred.Eligibility to work in New Zealand.If you do not yet have registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand, we will also consider candidates who are in the process of becoming qualified.What's in it for youYou will join a friendly, high-performing, forward-thinking team.
