Christchurch Hospital is seeking a skilled Complex Coronary Interventional

Cardiologist to join our dynamic team. This is a re-advertised position. As the

in coronary intervention.

About the Role

As an Interventional Cardiologist, you will :

perform contemporary complex interventions,

including advanced calcium modification (orbital atherectomy, rotational

atherectomy and intravascular lithotripsy), intracoronary imaging

(intravascular ultrasound and OCT with the latest Ultreon software) and

physiology (RFR, FFR, CFR and iMR).

Participate in team discussions of complex

coronary cases.

Work in a supportive team environment with

colleagues who want to share ideas with you and learn with you.

Provide clinical leadership and training to

junior doctors and allied health professionals.

Engage in ongoing research and quality

improvement initiatives.

Participate in an on-call roster as part of a

dedicated team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have :

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of

Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent specialist qualification.

Registration (or eligibility for registration)

with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a specialist in cardiology.

Extensive experience in interventional

cardiology, including proficiency in complex coronary interventions.

A strong commitment to patient-centred care,

clinical excellence, and teamwork.

A passion for innovation, research, and

teaching.
