About the role As a Registered Nurse at Wakefield Hospital, you will provide exceptional patient care as part of a high-performing team in our wards.
You will : Provide evidence-based nursing care for patients Provide care in accordance with best nursing practices, company policies and in collaboration with the patient, their family and the wider healthcare team Constructively critique new ideas, proposed changes and developments before adopting new evidence-based practices Anticipate patient's requirements, discuss with medical colleagues, and organise necessary investigations and equipment Maintain patient safety and integrity by anticipating and managing risks and potential complications in treatments, procedures and the surgical environment – including risks related to infection, positioning and restraint Your practice will be in line with the code of conduct and professional boundaries of the nursing professional body.
There are multiple permanent positions available for 64 hours per fortnight, located at Wakefield Hospital in Newtown, Wellington.
Desired Skills and Experience About you You will have excellent organisational skills, be flexible and open-minded, and successfully work within a team.
You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences : Registered Nurse with current NZ Nursing Council APC Relevant bachelor's degree or Hospital based training At least 2 years nursing experience in wards Knowledge of the best practice relevant nursing standards of care Understanding of health, disease, treatment and care of the human body, as well as computer literate Apply today!
