This is an exciting opportunity to lead a modern, recovery-focused Acute Crisis Respite service in Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington.

Our 'whatever it takes' approach supports tangata whai ora in a warm, home-like environment, where staff work alongside guests to co-create a peaceful and reflective stay.
As a Team Coach – Registered Nurse, you'll oversee our Brooklyn service, providing 24 / 7 crisis respite care for up to six adults experiencing acute mental health distress.
You will work closely with clinical teams and GPs to deliver compassionate, short-term support that truly helps tangata whai ora.
You will also work alongside Te Whatu Ora Registered Nurses on site to provide for the people we support.
This is your opportunity to shape a peer-influenced, person-centred service while leading a passionate team in an acute setting.
As one of our valued frontline leaders, you'll be fully supported by our regional leadership team to grow and flourish.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm, with participation in a rotating after-hours on-call roster.

Providing regular coaching and inspiring every member of your team to exceed their personal best in everything they do
Being part of a national leadership team, attending regular meetings, and professional development sessions
Contribute to our regional after-hours roster on a rotating basis
Building meaningful, collaborative partnerships
Working alongside primary and secondary care services and community networks
Focusing on physical health and functioning of tangata whai ora as part of their recovery and wellbeing
Being an exemplary Tangata Tiriti partner
Provision of education and support sessions to kaimahi and tangata whai ora

You Mou
Ideal candidates will :
Be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current annual practising certificate.
Have proven leadership experience in mental health services, leading and inspiring teams
Have clinical experience in mental health and addiction, with strong knowledge of diagnoses and treatment options
Lived experience or a strong understanding of peer principles.
Have strong relationship-building skills with staff and stakeholders
Demonstrate cultural competence and understanding of Te Tiriti of Waitangi
Hold a full New Zealand drivers' licence
Hold a current first aid certificate or willing to obtain one
