About the role

This senior leadership role offers the chance to grow and shape the litigation practice alongside a team of respected legal professionals. You’ll bring deep expertise in general commercial litigation and / or a related dispute resolution practice area, and play a key role in mentoring junior lawyers, developing client relationships, and contributing to the strategic direction of the firm.

Whether you are already a partner or a senior lawyer with partnership in your sights (e.g. Senior Associate, Special Counsel), you’ll be ready to step into a visible, influential position and be someone who thrives in a team-oriented, values-aligned environment.

What we’re looking for

• At least 12 years of high-quality litigation experience gained in a respected NZ law firm or chambers
• A current New Zealand practising certificate
• Strong client service orientation with a commercial and pragmatic mindset
• Proven ability to build and maintain trusted client and referrer relationships
• Excellent technical skills, leadership qualities, and a collaborative interpersonal style
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and an enthusiasm for marketing and business development
• A reputation for excellence, integrity, and professionalism
