OverviewJoin to apply for the Cybersecurity, Journeyman ISSO GBM.110 role at Torch Technologies, Inc. located at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex in Montgomery, AL, within the AFLCMC / GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), to support the Field Maintenance Command and Control (FMxC2) system.
The FMxC2 provides management support and serves as a data repository for U.S. Air Force aircraft maintenance functions, engine health and performance, and aircraft flight analysis capabilities worldwide.ResponsibilitiesImplements and enforces all AF cybersecurity policies, procedures, and countermeasures;Carries out all phases of information systems / networks security program that involves access to computers and data enabling company to meet contractual requirements for network security through firewalls and intrusion detection systems;Conducts regular audits to ensure systems are operating securely.Develops, tests, and operates firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems and software deployment tools.Researches, evaluates, tests, communicates and implements new security software or devices.Completes and maintains required cybersecurity certification IAW AFMAN 17-1303;Ensures all users have the requisite security clearances and need-to-know, complete annual cybersecurity training, and are aware of their responsibilities before being granted access to the IT according to AFMAN 17-1301;Maintains all authorized user access control documentation IAW the applicable AF Records Information Management System;Ensures software, hardware, and firmware comply with appropriate security configuration guidelines, e.g., STIG / SCAP-related;Ensures proper configuration management procedures are followed prior to implementation and contingent upon necessary approval;Coordinate changes or modifications with the system-level ISSM, SCA, and / or the Wing Cybersecurity office;Initiates protective or corrective measures, in coordination with the ISSM, when a security incident or vulnerability is discovered;Reports security incidents or vulnerabilities to the system-level ISSM and wing cybersecurity office according to AFI 17-203, Cyber Incident Handling; and,Initiates exceptions, deviations, or waivers to cybersecurity requirements.QualificationsAssociate's degree in a related field and 2 years of experience in the respective technical / professional disciplineMust have experience with Risk Management Framework, Splunk, STIG viewer, SCAP, NIST 800-53, and NISPOM.U.S. Citizenship is required.Must have an active Secret level security clearance.
