Description
The Higgins team in Tauranga has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor to join our Asphalt Plant team.Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll lead a team of 5 staff who manufacture up to 4,000 tonnes of asphalt per month.
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the plant including customer and subcontractor coordination, health and safety auditing, quality assurance, stock management and overseeing planned plant maintenance.
Qualifications
5+ years prior experience in asphalt plant operation, including troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance
Proven ability to manage daily plant operations to meet productivity and outcome targets
Experience leading teams, setting goals, and managing daily schedules and resourcing
Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to respond to unexpected challenges and provide clear direction
Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with solid computer literacy
A strong commitment to health and safety practices
Class 1 Drivers License or overseas equivalent – WTR and Class 2 sought after but we can support you to gain these
