Maintenance Engineer

Fabricator / Maintenance Engineer – Upper Hutt

We’re looking for a skilled fabricator / maintenance engineer to join a busy Upper Hutt workshop. This role offers variety, combining fabrication tasks with routine machinery maintenance and repair. The position will run until approximately April / May next year, with the potential for extension.

What you’ll be doing :

• Grinding and checking parts to ensure quality
• Light welding, hand plasma trimming, tapping, and painting
• Routine maintenance and diagnosing faults on machinery
• Assisting with moving and setting up machinery as required
• Manual handling of parts – must be physically fit
• Scanning parts and checking off with accuracy
• Operating a forklift (experience required)
• Using an overhead crane (preferred but not essential)
• Working as part of a busy and supportive team
