Maintenance Engineer

Fabricator / Maintenance Engineer – Upper HuttWe're looking for a skilled fabricator / maintenance engineer to join a busy Upper Hutt workshop.

This role offers variety, combining fabrication tasks with routine machinery maintenance and repair.

The position will run until approximately April / May next year, with the potential for extension.What you'll be doing : Grinding and checking parts to ensure qualityLight welding, hand plasma trimming, tapping, and paintingRoutine maintenance and diagnosing faults on machineryAssisting with moving and setting up machinery as requiredManual handling of parts – must be physically fitScanning parts and checking off with accuracyOperating a forklift (experience required)Using an overhead crane (preferred but not essential)Working as part of a busy and supportive teamYou'll need : Proven fabrication / engineering experienceExperienced engineer with maintenance and fault-finding skillsForklift licence / experience (required)Overhead crane experience (advantageous)Good with numbers and detail checkingPhysically fit, reliable, and safety focusedStrong communication skills and a team-first attitudeWhat's in it for you?
