About the role
The successful applicant will teach biology across NCEA and CIE pathways, while fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the department.
As head of biology, you will play a key role in maintaining high academic standards and supporting both student and staff wellbeing.
At King's, teachers are also expected to contribute to the wider life of the College through co-curricular involvement and mentoring.

What we're looking for
A teaching degree (minimum bachelor's) with current registration from the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
Proven experience in teaching secondary biology (NCEA and / or CIE)
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to foster excellence and creativity
Effective communication skills with students, parents, colleagues, and the wider school community
Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership and inclusive teaching practices.
