He oranga taiao, he oranga tangata.About the roleTe Manahuna / Twizel Biodiversity Threats team is looking for a motivated field worker to join us over summer to help deliver possum control operations in the Ohau Forests.
This mahi is critical to protecting vulnerable native species such as pittosporum patulum and native beech mistletoes.The position will be focussed on : Checking, rebaiting, and maintaining possum traplines across the Huxley, Hopkins, Dobson, and Temple Valleys.Recording catch data and supporting monitoring systems.Supporting the wider Biodiversity Threats team with field delivery as required.At times you will be required to stay away overnight, this could be up to 3 days in the backcountry, often in remote and rugged terrain.Meets the role description link?
