Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the country's largest employer, delivering universal public healthcare to 5 million New Zealanders.
We provide essential hospital, specialist, and community health services across 80+ locations - from large urban centres to rural towns and remote communities.
Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care.
About the Role
Join New Zealand's largest Industrial Relations team and take a leading role in delivering post-bargaining projects and implementing multiple collective agreements across the Health NZ workforce.
As a key member of the newly formed Project and Support team, the Senior Delivery Specialist will manage complex post bargaining projects from planning through to successful execution, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and robust oversight throughout.
Collaboration is essential. This role works closely with Health NZ and union stakeholders to scope, plan, and deliver post-bargaining initiatives that promote consistent and effective implementation.
You'll also support communication and engagement activities, such as including roadshows, briefings, and Q&A sessions in partnership with the Industrial Relations team. A key part of the role involves coaching and mentoring a Delivery Advisor to help build capability and confidence within the team.
Using structured project management approaches, you'll ensure activities are well planned, executed with precision, and closely monitored. Change management is a central focus, helping to enable a smooth transition to new ways of working across the motu.
About You
You're a seasoned project delivery professional who excels at leading complex initiatives and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups. With a solid grasp of project management principles, you have a proven track record of delivering impactful outcomes.
Your strength lies in building strong relationships and confidently engaging with unions, internal teams, and senior leaders. You're adept at translating complex collective agreement requirements into practical, people-centred solutions.
Clear communication and attention to detail are second nature to you, and you take pride in supporting others to grow and succeed. Adaptable and well-organised, you're driven to deliver meaningful change that positively shapes Aotearoa's health system
