Te Kaunihera o Tamaki Makaurau | Auckland Council is recruiting for six Demographic Advisory Panels : Youth, Seniors, Ethnic Communities, Disability, Pacific Peoples, and Rainbow Communities.
As a panel member, you'll provide advice to council staff and decision-makers on key projects and policies, helping Auckland become a more inclusive, thriving city. Through the lens of your lived experience, you'll offer perspectives on :
Advisory Panels
Advisory Panels are one way Auckland Council engages meaningfully with diverse communities. We know that involving Aucklanders with different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives is vital to the region's success.
These panels offer a space where your insights, experiences, and ideas can help shape the future of Tamaki Makaurau.
The demographic panels meet approximately every six-eight weeks, with each meeting lasting three hours. You'll also be invited to attend additional cross-panel workshops and activities. On average, panel members spend around

You're passionate about contributing to the future of Tamaki Makaurau and supporting positive outcomes for our communities.
In this role, you'll bring lived experience of your communities with an understanding of diverse perspective. You will be collaborating with others and sharing your experiences and perspectives to help advise Council.
Ideally, you will :
You'll need to commit to a three-year term and be available for scheduled panel meetings and workshops (held on weekdays and / or evenings).

Panel members are paid meeting fees and reimbursed for travel expenses as per the Auckland Council Fees Framework and Expenses Policy for Appointed Members.
