Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the country's largest employer, delivering universal public healthcare to 5 million New Zealanders.
We provide essential hospital, specialist, and community health services across 80+ locations - from large urban centres to rural towns and remote communities.
Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care.
About the Role
Regional clinical networks are an integral part of our collective accountabilities for performance and priorities, monitoring delivery against outcomes – national, regional and local.
Clinical networks will drive implementation of changes to move from working locally to regionally to align with Health New Zealand priorities and National Clinical Network (NCN) directives.
Developing network structures and work plan delivery requires leadership commitment and support to evolve cross-functional ways of working, with shared network and service operational / clinical lead accountabilities for both local and regional outcomes.
The primary purpose of the role is to support regional leadership to grow regional clinical network capabilities and establish priority regional network governance structures and work plans.
Shared objectives are to address inequities, improve access and service delivery performance, reduce variation in practice and align best practice models across the region.
About you
You bring 5+ years of programme or operational management experience, ideally gained within the public or health sector.
You're confident working with senior clinical and operational leaders, and you have a proven ability to guide and influence them to develop and deliver service or network development work plans in dynamic, diverse and complex environments.
You have a strong track record in developing and implementing service performance monitoring and improvement frameworks, and you thrive in roles where strategic thinking, collaboration, and measurable outcomes are key.
