You don't need to be an accountant, but you do need to be financially literate and confident with financial management.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the ever-growing, vibrant Whangarei Fringe Festival.

Who We're Looking For

Someone confident with financial management and Xero.

Could be an accountant or bookkeeper keen to give back, or someone retired who wants to stay engaged and contribute skills.

Above all, someone who believes in the power of creativity and community.

Time commitment

Around 5 hours per month on average, including :

Attending quarterly board meetings, with extra meetings as needed.

Reviewing financial reports generated in Xero ahead of meetings.

Meeting with accountants to prepare the annual reports.

Liaising with other board members and operational staff as required.

Overseeing good financial practice : budgets, statements, audits, and making recommendations to the board.
