Join Te Tari Whakatau as an Analyst to support Treaty settlements and strengthen the Māori Crown relationship through meaningful policy and negotiation work.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing :
- Participate in negotiations that lead to durable Treaty settlements
- Develop policy advice that informs decision-making at the highest levels
- Prepare briefings for the Minister, Cabinet, and Select Committees
- Represent Te Tari Whakatau in external hui and inter-agency engagements
- Work collaboratively in small teams contributing to the restoration and evolution of the Māori Crown relationship
- Engage directly with iwi Māori and the Crown, navigating complex issues and building trust
- Undertake various tasks with a positive attitude, including less glamorous duties
