Product Owner

Gentrack is seeking a Product Owner to join our team.

You will collaborate with software development teams to ensure products meet high standards of quality and functionality.

What you'll do

Product Execution

Build Exceptional Products – Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

Backlog Management – Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that development teams have clear and actionable tasks.

Sprint Planning – Participate in sprint planning, defining and prioritizing user stories and acceptance criteria.

Project Management – Ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements, using appropriate planning and prioritisation techniques and managing timeline expectations effectively.

Quality Assurance – Maintain high standards for product quality, working closely with engineering and QA teams to build capability and resolve issues promptly.

Customer Insight

Understand Customer Needs – Gather feedback and analyse data to gain deep insights into requirements and pain points.

Customer Advocacy – Ensure product decisions align with customer needs and expectations.

User Experience – Collaborate with UX teams to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.

Influencing People

Stakeholder Management – Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, communicating product progress and updates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with other product managers and stakeholders to enable other parts of the organisation to be successful.

Product Strategy

Roadmap Planning – Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a product roadmap, focusing on execution and delivery.

What we're looking for

Some experience in product management or a related field, with a focus on working directly with software development teams.

Familiarity with managing product backlogs and participating in agile development processes.

Strong emphasis on product execution, with the ability to manage tasks and priorities effectively.

Understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate those needs into actionable product requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey ideas to diverse audiences.
