About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Development Engineer to join our product development team based in Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who has been involved in new product development projects from early concept through to design verification testing and commercial readiness. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, technically demanding environment, and who can lead and contribute to robust testing, risk management, and design control processes within a highly regulated field.

Your key responsibilities will include :

• Developing test strategies and designing experiments that support thorough design verification, ensuring our medical devices are reliable, robust, and meet all performance and regulatory requirements.
• Working with other engineers to capture and manage risk, ensuring all design control documentation is complete and compliant throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders, clinical experts, and external development partners to bring user-centric, safe, and innovative products to life.
• Ensuring development plans are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with business and regulatory expectations.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and mentoring intermediate and junior engineers as required.
• Preparing technical documentation and reports in line with the company’s quality system.
