About the Role

A well-established and reputable business is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with New Zealand employment and tax regulations, and supporting internal teams with payroll-related reporting and queries.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with PAYE, KiwiSaver, ACC, and other statutory deductions
• Maintain payroll records, leave balances, and resolve employee payroll queries
• Liaise with external agencies including IRD, ACC, and the Ministry of Justice
• Monitor employee absences and ensure alignment with company policies
• Interpret and apply employment legislation (e.g. Holidays Act, Employment Relations Act)
• Support employment agreement management and ensure compliance
• Oversee attendance tracking systems and extract relevant data
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide payroll-related insights and reporting
• Assist with office resource management and company functions as needed
