MediaWorks are looking for a
Performance Marketing Lead
to deliver smart customer acquisition, engagement and retention through data-driven strategies - accelerating the growth of Rova and strengthening the position of Aotearoa's most loved radio brands.
What you'll do
Reporting into the Brand & Communications Director, you'll own and optimise the use of Braze, our customer engagement platform, and work across email, push, in-app, paid media, and social channels to deliver measurable growth and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Rova's customer acquisition and retention strategy across digital channels.
Own and manage the Braze platform to deliver personalised, automated, and impactful lifecycle campaigns.
Leverage eCRM best practice to segment audiences, personalise communications, and optimise the customer lifecycle.
Develop, test, and optimise data-driven campaigns to grow user base, engagement, and lifetime value.
Analyse campaign performance and present insights that translate into actionable growth strategies.
Collaborate with product, content, data, and sales teams to ensure consistent, customer-first marketing.
Ensure data integrity, attribution, and accurate measurement of marketing effectiveness (ROAS).
Optimise spend and strategies based on ROI and KPIs, adjusting tactics to maximise performance.
Qualifications
8+ years' senior experience in performance, growth, or lifecycle marketing — ideally in media, streaming, or subscription businesses.
Proven success building and optimising customer journeys that deliver measurable growth and retention.
Deep expertise in Braze (or similar CEPs), plus strong knowledge of eCRM principles.
Technical capability in HTML / CSS, SQL basics, and workflow optimisation.
Strong background in paid media, social marketing, attribution, and ROAS measurement.
Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau) and advanced campaign reporting.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
High attention to detail, with the ability to turn insights into strategies that positively move performance.
Resilience and tenacity, with a relentless drive to overcome challenges and achieve ambitious goals.
