New Graduate - Rotational PhysiotherapistRotational PhysiotherapistNew Graduate Opportunity Expression of InterestHealth New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora WaitemataAdvance your physiotherapy career in an engaging, fun, and supportive learning environmentHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe are seeking expressions of interest from New Graduate Physiotherapists to join our team at Health New Zealand Waitemata end of 2025 / start of 2026.Waitemata provides a great opportunity to start your physiotherapy career in an engaging, fun and supportive learning environment.The rotational programme gives you the opportunity to participate in a wide range of clinical settings to further develop your skills and competencies in physiotherapy assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning across North Shore, Waitakere Hospital and Wilson Centre sites.We have a lot to offer you : (see link to Position Description for full details)Full time work (80 hours / fortnight)Development of core physiotherapy skills through a rotational programmeExcellent support from clinical coaches, and senior clinicians in all areas of practiceSupport for development and growth clinically and professionally through personal objectives.A hardworking, supportive, and fun environment with a great team of experienced cliniciansIn-house career development with regular in-services, training, and education opportunitiesNetworking with allied health clinical leaders, senior, staff grade and rotational clinicians across the organisation.Regular professional supervision from experienced cliniciansAbout the Team / Service / LocationThis programme gives you the opportunity to participate in a wide range of clinical settings to further develop your undergraduate skills and competencies in physiotherapy assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and discharge planning.We offer a two-tier rotational scheme within Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Waitemata at three sites across the district.Core 1 rotational positions are 4 months long and offer experience in : Acute medicalRespiratoryAcute trauma and elective orthopaedicOlder Adult Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation (AT&R)Core 2 rotational positions are 8 months long and in addition to the above also offer experience in : ED / ADUICU / HDUNeurological rehabilitationEarly Supported Discharge and Rehabilitation Service (Community based rehabilitation)Paediatric rehabilitation at the Wilson Centre (the national paediatric rehabilitation provider)About youAs a Rotational Physiotherapist you should have : Professional Registration and be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate with the Physiotherapy Board of New ZealandExcellent clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practiceA flexible and pro-active approachEffective time management, organisation and prioritisation skillsHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
