Te Mahi – About the job
Contribute to RNZ National's live programming, from Nine to Noon, Afternoons, Nights, and The Panel to our Saturday and Sunday morning shows.
Work with multiple production teams to deliver a rich mix of entertainment, magazine-style features, and current affairs.
Pitch fresh story ideas, research compelling angles, and craft engaging on-air introductions and interview questions.
Provide leave cover across shows and curate and produce holiday programming.
Create digital content using audio, video, graphics and data.
Use social media to connect with audiences and amplify storytelling.
Coordinate logistics for live and pre-recorded interviews.
The successful candidate will :
Has experience in live broadcasting and talk / current affairs formats
Brings curiosity, creativity and a collaborative spirit
Is confident online and across social media platforms
Ideally has journalism qualifications or relevant experience
Is keen to learn, grow and contribute to a vibrant team
