Field Service Technician

As our customer base continues to grow across New Zealand, Liebherr Maritime Cargo & Construction Division is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician.

In this role, you will perform field service work on various types of cranes, including harbour mobile, crawler, and gantry cranes, as well as drilling and piling equipment.This position covers the Oceania region, with opportunities to work throughout New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific.

It is a hands-on, practical role—perfect for someone eager to promote the Liebherr brand and uphold industry-leading standards.Key ResponsibilititesMajor and minor serviceDiagnostics and troubleshooting of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical systems.Inspect and test electrical and instrumentation systems and components.Routine maintenance, repairs, and component replacementsExpand and maintain customer relationships in the field.Complete service reporting and manufacturers documentationAbout YouTrade qualified in Auto Electrical, Industrial Electrician or Diesel / Heavy Plant or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work over-time as required.Capable of working independently in the field, problem solving in various situations.Crane industry experiences desirable, although not a requirementAbility to fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues.A current driver's licenseCommitment to maintain, and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplaceBenefitsJob security and potential for advancementTechnical Training and career progression opportunitiesGreat hourly rates and Overtime availableGenerous employee benefits, including 5 days bonus leave days, ability to purchase additional leave, paid parental leave, wide range of company discounts and retail discount programDiversity and InclusionDiversity and inclusion sit at the heart of the Liebherr Group's Core Values.
