The Opportunity :
An exciting opportunity is available for a qualified and experienced Senior Service Technician to join our team based in Christchurch. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in planned service and breakdown support.
Key areas of responsibility include :
- Mechanical Fitting : You will be a trade-qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter, skilled in precision assembly and maintenance of automated machine systems. In addition, you will provide hands-on engineering and manufacturing support, including machining, fabrication, and the fitting of components to required standards.
- Service & Technical : You will provide expert breakdown and planned service support to Scott customers through onsite, remote, and on-call assistance. You will contribute to engineering and workshop projects while mentoring and training technicians to maintain the highest levels of service, utilisation, and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting & Documentation : You will be responsible for accurate recording of spare parts, inventory, and service documentation while ensuring timely and detailed reporting. You will also uphold strict quality standards by following technical drawings, meeting critical tolerances, and ensuring all components and assemblies are delivered right the first time.
- Continuous Improvements : You will support continuous improvement by following efficient processes, optimising utilisation, and providing valuable product lifecycle feedback to help eliminate defects. The role also involves responsible use of time, resources, and materials, while applying facts and data to ensure quality outcomes.
About You :
A trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering3-5 years' experience in a relevant role (automation equipment / machines experience highly desired).Fitting / Machining experience with proven quality outcomes.An understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Availability to travel (domestic or international) to our customers’ sites to install and commission equipment as required.The right to live and work permanently in New Zealand.The Company :
