In this role, you'll work as part of a small team leading the design and implementation of health and safety initiatives that are innovative, practical, and aligned with best practice.
You'll be a key driver of continuous improvement, using your project management expertise and writing skills to deliver solutions that are both strategic and user-friendly.Working closely with the H&S operations team, you'll : Lead the end-to-end delivery of H&S projects (first up HSMS)—scoping, planning, executing, and evaluating initiatives that align with business goals and legislative requirements.Support wider team with other big pieces of work like Critical Risk and Contractor Management.Develop plain-English policies, procedures, and communications that are easy to understand and apply across the business.Collaborate across all levels of the organisation to embed new initiatives and support change management.Use analytics to inform decision-making, support reporting, and contribute to executive and board-level papers.This role is ideally located at our Bell Block office, however we are keen to hear from people based in Hamilton or Christchurch.QualificationsAs well as being someone who can hit the ground running, with passion and good energy, you will have : A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g H&S, business, communications)5+ years experience working in the health and safety space.Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, able to engage and influence at different levels.Experience pivoting to changing business needs and priorities.
