Service : Wairarapa Ata Rauru Maternity ServicesLocation : Wairarapa HospitalContract : Permanent Part - TimeHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleThis position provides pregnancy and parenting information to pregnant women and their whanau / families.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Wairarapa manages inpatient maternity services with related outpatient services.The Pregnancy and Parenting Educator is primarily employed to : Provide antenatal, intrapartum and post-natal education.Comply with BFHI Initiatives.Provide the course / s in a manner that empowers women in their preparation for childbirth and parenting.

Inclusive of encouraging support persons and whanau in how they can support the birthing person.This is a permanent part time position, working 16 hours per fortnight (0.2 FTE).

The region has approximately 500 births per annum.About youThe Pregnancy and Parenting Educator will have the following qualifications and skillsRegistered Midwife in New Zealand or a qualified Childbirth EducatorDriver's Licence (Class B car).
