Gracefield Early Childhood Centre is a well-established, community-based early learning service in a purpose-built centre in Lower Hutt. We are seeking an experienced and visionary centre manager who is passionate about early childhood education, committed to excellence in leadership, and dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for tamariki and whānau.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a centre with strong community roots and a dedicated, professional teaching team. The successful applicant will foster a positive, inclusive culture and ensure high-quality education and care aligned with Te Whāriki.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership, mentoring, and professional guidance to a skilled teaching team.
• Foster a collaborative environment that reflects our centre’s values and community.
• Lead curriculum planning and implementation that promotes meaningful learning experiences.
• Manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with Ministry of Education regulations, funding, policy, and licensing standards.
• Build and maintain strong, respectful partnerships with staff, whānau, and the wider community.
• Oversee budgeting and financial management to ensure sustainability.
