We're looking for a passionate and experienced HSE Business Partner to join our team and lead the health, safety and environmental agenda across our Commercial and Supply Chain portfolios.
This is a key role in shaping a proactive safety culture and driving continuous improvement across our operations.As the HSE Business Partner, you'll work closely with leaders across the business to coach, influence and embed best-practice HSE systems and behaviours.
You'll be a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance to reduce risk, ensure compliance, and support our people to be safe and well – every day.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and Inspire : Coach business leaders to proactively manage safety and demonstrate inclusive leadership.Ensure Compliance : Champion compliance with HSE and Workers Compensation Acts, legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and standards.Drive Safety Programmes : Implement the Safety for Everyone Everyday programme and support the Tip Top Steps to Zero initiatives.Foster Safety Culture : Move safety culture towards interdependence on the Bradley Curve through coaching and leadership.Manage Risk : Provide direction in managing risk and support teams in developing risk management plans.Conduct Audits : Lead self-assessments and audits, and coach leaders to achieve HSE audit performance objectives.Support Injury Management : Oversee injury management programmes and support workers compensation and return to work (RTW) plans.Analyse Data : Monitor, analyse, and report on injury and incident data to drive continuous improvement.Collaborate : Build long-term relationships with the site leadership team and co-create site-related HSE documentation.Reduce Environmental Impact : Provide guidance to site teams to actively reduce environmental impact and ensure site environmental plans are up to date.What You'll BringQualifications : A Diploma in Health & Safety (required); additional qualifications in Environmental Management or Training & Assessment are a plusExperience : 3–5 years' experience in a similar HSE role, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing or logisticsBusiness Partnering : Understand commercial drivers and enable others to succeedChange Management : Ability to engage people in positive changeKnowledge : Strong knowledge of NZ HSE legislation and risk management frameworksLeadership : Proven ability to coach and influence leaders at all levelsCommunication : Excellent facilitation, communication and analytical skillsCollaboration : A collaborative, values-led approach with a passion for making a differenceWhy Join Us?
