New Business & Opportunities Manager

UINZ is expanding, and we’re looking for a driven New Business & Opportunities Manager to help us unlock growth across New Zealand’s infrastructure sector. Based in Canterbury, this role will actively seek out opportunities nationwide in 3 Waters pipelines, power, renewable energy, and trenchless works, working closely with councils, local authorities, and private developers.

About the Role

You’ll be the connector — building relationships, identifying future work, and helping position UINZ at the forefront of major infrastructure programs and private development pipelines throughout NZ. This is a high-impact role where you can genuinely shape the direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify new project and partnership opportunities across New Zealand in 3 Waters, power, renewable energy, and trenchless construction.
• Build strong relationships with councils, local authorities, consultants, utility providers, and private developers.
• Track national infrastructure pipelines, procurement schedules, industry updates, and pre-tender information.
• Support tenders and proposals with market intel, client insights, and strategic positioning.
• Represent UINZ at industry events, council pre-engagement sessions, CCNZ meetings, and supplier / partner forums.
• Collaborate with Directors and operational teams to align opportunities with our capability and strategic growth.
