The Senior Financial Specialist FP&A is responsible for the creation and maintenance of internal reports for key stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and adherence to standardised reporting practices.The Senior Financial Specialist FP&A will collaborate closely with other members of the Financial Planning and Analysis team in identifying performance drivers and play a key role in developing the annual budget process, as well as conducting deep dive analyses.
They will also undertake cross-functional engagement and collaboration to ensure comprehensive capture of key operational inputs.
This position will play a significant role in ensuring that financial plans are based on accurate and comprehensive data, which is essential for informed decision-making.
This team will deliver a forward-looking approach to planning, budgeting, reporting and forecasting, that is centred on enabling an integrated performance story for Health NZ, working collaboratively across the organisation at all levels.
You have a proven ability to lead the preparation and analysis of internal finance reports, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with organisational objectives, while providing insightful financial advice to Boards and Executive Leadership Teams to support informed decision-making.You excel at generating value by integrating financial, operational, and quality data to support strategic decisions, and effectively manage stakeholder relationships to ensure clear communication and alignment on reporting initiatives.
With strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you collaborate seamlessly across cross-functional teams.
As an active contributor to the Financial Planning & Analysis Team, you support senior management in developing and analysing financial plans and budgets, leading the annual budget process to ensure financial inputs are precise and aligned with the organisation's strategic priorities.You also hold professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant status or equivalent membership of a recognised accounting association.
