Performing Arts Teacher - commencing Term 1 2026

An exciting opportunity has become available for an energetic teacher with the main focus on DANCE and the ability to possibly also teach Drama and / or Music.

This is a great opportunity to become part of our excellent Performing Arts team, in a school with an outstanding reputation for the Performing Arts.

You would be joining a supportive and extremely well-resourced department that strives for excellence in both curriculum and co-curricular ensembles.

The successful applicant will have experience with NCEA and be a confident Dance teacher.

They will possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to teach the Dance curriculum up to NCEA Level 3.

They will have skills in choreography and a passion for growing a lifelong love of the arts in their students.

Please state all relevant experience in the performing arts, as well as your speciality areas.

The successful applicant will also be required to take an active role in our large co-curricular PFA programme.

We are open to applications from both experienced teachers and beginning teachers, who can take advantage of our excellent PCT programme.

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement (CA) / as assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education.

Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, between $61,329.00 - $103,086.00 per annum plus allowances as above.

Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.

All staff are expected to contribute towards our extracurricular programme.
