Community Development Facilitator - Safe Communities

We are currently recruiting a part-time Community Development Facilitator who can work effectively across a broad range of stakeholders in an evolving and growing community environment.
This position involves facilitating community-led activities that create a healthier, happier, safer Waimakariri District, with a particular focus on family violence and alcohol and drug harm and addiction, in line with the Waimakariri District Council Community Development Strategy

Facilitating groups, including organising and running meetings
Project planning and evaluation
Social and on-line media
Working across a range of sectors, including business, social and community
Working with people from a diverse range of cultural, socio-economic and values-based demographics
We are looking for self-motivated people who can motivate others and encourage innovative thinking to generate solutions to community-identified issues and opportunities.
Your ability to build rapport and influence will complement your excellent communication skills.
You will need to be well organised and able to manage a workload of diverse portfolios to achieve timely outcomes.
You will be able to work well as part of a team.
It would be advantageous to have active involvement in a range of communities of interest.
Being passionate and willing to bring energy and enthusiasm will be a plus!
