• Tēnei tūranga - About the Role :
• The Business Change team ensures change across the immigration system is adopted, embedded, and customer-centric. The Business Change Lead plays a crucial role in this process by assessing the change impact on our people, identifying and coordinating change activities, and evaluating change adoption.The team is part of the wider Immigration Design and Assurance branch, which contributes to the immigration system by designing and delivering change that meets the needs of our people and our customers.
• As a Business Change Lead you will be responsible for :
• Supporting the Manager Business Change to deliver key objectives under the Immigration Design and Assurance branch plan, and continuously improve Business Change team ways of working
• Applying change management principles, processes, and tools to support impacted areas to transition from current to future state, and enabling the change to be successfully adopted and embedded.
• Managing and supporting business change activities by building relationships, collaborating with related teams and functions, providing advice, and evaluating the effectiveness of business change activities.
• Working with a diverse range of key stakeholders at all levels across MBIE.
• Building business change capability and maturity across the immigration system by supporting and advising leaders in their roles as change champions and sponsors.
• Managing, developing, and identifying improvement opportunities for business change management approaches, and suggesting mitigations for potential risks to successful change.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills including strong active listening skills.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, particularly in a project or change management context
• Proven experience in establishing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to be flexible and pragmatic, and to quickly adapt to changing needs in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous, and fast-moving business environment.
• Good understanding of the change process and how people go through a change.
• Knowledge of change management principles, methodology and tools, and commitment to ongoing learning and development.
• Must be a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident
