Join Harrison Grierson as a People & Payroll Administrator to support HR and payroll functions in a leading urban development consultancy.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include :
Coordinate People & Culture (P&C) activities across the employee lifecycle including recruitment administration, onboarding, contracts, variations, and reporting.
Maintain accurate employee files and ensure all required documentation is up to date.
Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employment and payroll queries.
Support P&C initiatives such as performance reviews, engagement surveys, and learning & development activities.
Coordinate internal events and initiatives that enhance company culture and promote employee wellbeing.
Manage end-to-end payroll processing including fortnightly and monthly payroll, adjustments, timesheets, and leave entitlements, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
Compile and maintain summaries of earnings, taxes, superannuation, deductions, and leave balances.
Provide payroll insights and reporting to the P&C and Finance teams.
Contribute ideas and energy to process improvement and AI-driven efficiency to build a smarter, more connected employee experience.
About You
What you'll need :
A relevant business degree (Human Resources, Business, IT or similar).
1–2 years' experience in HR or payroll, with a solid grounding in HR practices and a genuine interest in developing skills across the employee experience.
Eligibility to work in Zealand.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong administrative and organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to build trust-based relationships and communicate with empathy and integrity.
Curiosity and enthusiasm for technology, automation, and continuous improvement.
