Sunnynook Primary School is seeking a passionate and collaborative l earning support coordinator (LSC) to join our team from term 1,
This is a permanent, full-time (1FTTE) position.

As LSC, you will play a key role in ensuring that every learner is supported to reach their potential.
You will work closely with students, teachers, whanau, external agencies, and our leadership team to coordinate and strengthen learning support across the school.
We are looking for someone who :
Builds strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
An understanding of the learning support system
Works collaboratively to identify needs, plan supports, and monitor progress.
Has experience supporting students with diverse learning or behavioural needs.
Is reflective, organised, and committed to ongoing professional learning.
This role includes supporting ESOL students and staff, contributing to school-wide systems for inclusion, and working closely with the Deputy Principal / SENCo as part of our learning support team.
Experience with the Better Start to Literacy Approach (BSLA) and Assessment for Learning (AFL) practices is advantageous.
We are a Maori Achievement Collaborative (MAC) school and as kura have a strong commitment to Te Ao Maori and Te Reo Maori.
