Learning Support Coordinator

OverviewPokeno School is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our team in 2026 as our new learning support coordinator (LSC).

This is a full-time, fully released position for a registered teacher with a current practising certificate.The LSC will play a key role in supporting inclusive practice across the school, working closely alongside our SENCo, staff, whanau, and external agencies to ensure students with additional learning needs are supported to thrive.Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher; English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts.ResponsibilitiesBuilding teacher capability to meet diverse learning needsSupporting students to access the right help early and make successful transitionsPartnering with whanau to strengthen learning support pathwaysCoordinating with external agencies to provide timely resources and interventionsAnalysing data to inform practice and improve outcomes for priority learnersContributing to school-wide strategies that foster inclusive learning environmentsQualifications and attributesWe seek an applicant with strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills, a commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive practice, and an understanding of Te Ao Maori and Tikanga Maori.This role is not suitable for overseas teachers with no New Zealand teaching experience.How to applyPlease send your completed application form, CV, and letter or email outlining your suitability for this position to :
