Assistant Shop Manager

Hornby, Manchester Street and Papanui Shops

We’re looking for experienced Assistant Shop Managers to join our Christchurch team in a casual capacity. This is a key support role where you’ll step in as second-in-charge (2IC) when the Shop Manager is away. You’ll help keep our shops running smoothly, looking their best, and delivering warm, welcoming customer experiences. In the absence of the Shop Manager, you’ll take the lead—delegating tasks, driving sales performance, and ensuring a safe and positive working environment for the team.

This role supports our Christchurch shops, so the successful candidate must be available to work across our Hornby, Manchester Street, and Papanui locations.

In this role you will :

• Utilise your solid cash management and till management experience
• Assist with shop presentation / displays
• Undertake stock management / preparation and control as per training
• Support volunteers’ adherence to our Health, Safety and Wellbeing practice
