We're looking for a Funds Administrator to take charge of coordinating and overseeing high-profile funding initiatives across South and Southeast Asia (SSEA).

This role offers you the unique opportunity to directly influence funding decisions that support New Zealand's diplomatic goals and international partnerships.About the role - Korero mo te turangaAs part of our Americas and Asia Group (AAG), you'll be at the heart of key programmes that advance New Zealand's interests across the globe.

From guiding applicants to managing the financial integrity of multi-million-dollar funds, this role is perfect for someone with a strong sense of responsibility, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative spirit.Key Responsibilities - Nga Haepapa MatuaGrowth Fund Coordination & AAG Fund : Lead the coordination of the SSEA Growth Fund (SGF) and AAG Fund, ensuring seamless fund delivery from start to finish, and providing expert guidance to applicants across New Zealand government agencies and international posts.Operational and Programme Coordination : Keep our operations running smoothly—track multiple streams of work, drive team meetings, maintain key registers, and support internal reporting and planning.Event and Engagement Coordination : Organise high-impact events and workshops, bringing together stakeholders to share insights and foster collaboration, while ensuring flawless execution.Financial Coordination : Work with the Group Business Manager to manage budgets, monitor expenditure, ensure compliance with procurement policies, and keep the financial wheels turning smoothly.Who are we looking for?

Proven experience in managing funding processes, operational projects, or programmes.Strong financial savvy—budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure tracking come naturally to you.Excellent organisational skills—you're known for juggling competing priorities with ease.An ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and external stakeholders.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and project management tools.A commitment to accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring flawless reporting and compliance.An understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi / Te Tiriti, Te Reo Maori, and Maori cultural practices is a bonus!
