Your initial assignment will be in the finance stream of Nga Tapuwae, a key programme of work that's driving real change across the organisation.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in complex environments, can bring people on the journey, and has strong business analysis skills – especially in finance or tax-related work.

You'll work with a wide range of stakeholders to understand their needs, gather and manage requirements, and make sure the analysis outputs are clear, consistent, and support successful delivery.You'll also be leading other BAs, helping to guide their work and keep everything on track.

This includes ensuring documentation meets our standards and that deadlines are met.We're looking for someone who's confident leading analysis end-to-end, can think strategically, has strong stakeholder management skills, and who genuinely enjoys working with people to solve problems.Banking is changing and we're changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow.

• What will your day look like?

As a Lead Business Analyst, you are accountable for : Setting up and managing the BA approach and timeline for your workstreamLeading and supporting other BAs working alongside youGuiding conversations with stakeholders to understand what's needed — and whyCreating (and reviewing) BA documents like process maps, requirements, and user storiesMaking sure analysis work is fit-for-purpose and aligned with programme goalsProactively managing risks, issues, and stakeholder expectationsBuilding strong, collaborative relationships across the programmeLooking for ways to continuously improve how we do thingsOu Pukenga?

We're after someone who brings a calm, confident approach to business analysis, and who's comfortable working with uncertainty.

The ideal candidate will have : Strong experience working as a Lead Business AnalystA background in finance or tax, or exposure to finance-related projects, is preferredGreat communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience leading or mentoring other analystsA collaborative working style – someone who can build trust quicklyConfidence working in both Agile and hybrid delivery environmentsAn eye for detail, and pride in producing quality workA commitment to continuous improvement – for both yourself and the teamThe ability to lead the development of inclusive workplace culture.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
