OverviewDiscover a career with purpose at MBIE We offer a 12-Month Secondment / Fixed Term opportunity based in Wellington with a salary of $115,585 to $138,028 plus KiwiSaver.You must be able to meet MBIE's Privileged Access requirements to hold this role.

These requirements are similar to those for holding a New Zealand security clearance and involve criminal, credit and background checks.

Applicants should generally have a verifiable history of residing in NZ, AU, CA, US and / or UK for the five years prior to commencing employment.About the RoleWe seek a Senior Business Analyst who will join the ADEPT team working within Immigration.

The role will work day-to-day with OpPol to specify their requirements and document these for use by Functional Consultants and Test Analysts.

Requirements are often high level and require collaboration to compile sufficient information for delivery.

An iterative approach and proactive information gathering from business users are expected.Responsibilities and activities typically include : Analyze and proactively gather requirements to meet outcomesWrite User Stories and document business flowsPresent information through workshops, diagrams, and documentsIdentify and manage risks and issues, progressing actions as neededArticulate the rationale when decisions about scope are neededTake responsibility for deadlines and progress actionsSupport functional consultants and test analysts in ADEPT deliveryUtilize Azure DevOps (ideally)Engage with Agile practices through ADEPT (note : ADEPT is not described as fully agile)Team and CultureMBIE values inspired, safe, and fulfilling work.
