We are looking for an experienced Recruiter for this pivotal role in shaping the delivery of an exceptional recruitment experience for the

• General Election.

You primary role will support the end-to-end recruitment process from sourcing candidates to onboarding successful hires.

This is a fixed term role from February

Primarily based in Ellerslie, there is potential to work around the region to support the Election.

You will be working closely with hiring managers to ensure recruitment practices align with best practices and organisational needs while enhancing the Commission's recruitment brand.

Whether it is crafting compelling job adverts, conducting candidate assessments, or delivering training to hiring managers.

You will contribute to fostering a positive and seamless experience for all stakeholders.

This is a Grade 15 role, with a salary band of $79,150 -$87,940 depending on relevant skills and experience of the candidate.

The role reports to the Recruitment and Talent Lead based in Wellington.

Key responsibilities

Support hiring managers through all recruitment phases, from writing advertisements to candidate assessments and onboarding.

Ensure all candidates, successful or otherwise, have a positive and engaging recruitment journey.

Provide recruitment advice and training for hiring managers, helping them confidently deliver consistent and inclusive hiring practices.

Gather feedback from candidates and new employees to continuously drive an inclusive and welcoming recruitment and onboarding processes.

Work closely with Electorate Managers to ensure quality recruitment decisions are made.

You are a recruitment professional with a passion for delivering exceptional candidate experiences and supporting managers to make great hiring decisions.

You are an excellent communicator, pro-active and able to identify areas for improvement and driving positive change.

To be successful in this role, you will need :

3-5 years in full-cycle recruitment, ideally within professional services or a fast-paced corporate environment and ideally bulk recruitment.

Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

A pro-active approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Familiarity with recruitment systems (such as Snaphire) and the ability to train others.

Proactive search experiencewould be an advantage.

A commitment to delivering a positive candidate experience and enhancing organisational reputation.

An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to incorporating its principles in your work.
