Medical Laboratory Technician - Auckland Blood Bank (Start Asap)

Medical Laboratory Technician role at NZ's largest Blood Bank, performing critical transfusion testing in a fast-paced environment.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing :

Perform a range of duties related to pre transfusion, antenatal and diagnostic testing

Issue blood and blood products for clinical purposes

Work in a fast-paced environment responding immediately in emergency situations

Collaborate with a well-established team of Scientists and Technicians committed to quality service and patient wellbeing

About You

What you'll need :

Registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ

Experience in transfusion science or a related discipline

Experience working in a Blood Bank preferred but not essential

Flexibility to fully participate in a 24-hour, 7-day per week roster

Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Positive attitude and self-motivation

Ability to take responsibility and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary between $65,842 to $86,719 depending on skills, experience and registration
