OverviewGHD has an immediate opportunity for a Global Mobility Senior Advisor - APAC.
This position will manage and oversee full lifecycle international workforce transitions, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the employee experience across borders.At GHD, we don't just believe in the power of commitment—we live it.
We empower our people with the right technology and training to bring ideas and projects to life.Key ResponsibilitiesProactively manage Global Expatriate Management Cycle with strong partnerships with People Business Partners.Proactively engage with active assignees for engagement and regular connections.Develop and maintain effective key stakeholder relationships globally.Proactively identify and mitigate risks in all areas of Global Mobility (immigration matters, employer taxes, relocation management).
Pre-assessment management—consult with business leaders on the purpose of the move, complete cost projections, and collaborate with People team on talent profile of candidate.Provide subject matter expertise and consult with key stakeholders (People and Talent Acquisition, Business leaders, Finance / Payroll, Legal) on Global Mobility Standards for long-term and short-term international assignments, permanent relocations, external international hires, project workers, and frequent business travelers.Provide regular and relevant insights on Global Mobility trends.Serve as the main point of contact for APAC immigration-related matters for international moves to and within the APAC region.Work closely with the Global Mobility Leader on immigration and relocation program enhancements and projects.Support the People, Talent Acquisition teams and Business on all Global Mobility-related matters.What you will bringEducation : Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred (but not required).
Experience : General Experience : 8+ years of wide and deep experience; Individual Contributor (managerial experience not required).
Extensive background in all aspects of Global Mobility (immigration, tax, payroll, mobilizations / assignments on international projects, entire assignment lifecycle, relocation management, third-party provider coordination).
Experience handling inter-country transfers across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.Analytical thinking and responsiveness to dynamic business environments.Ability to provide expert guidance to employees, managers, and HR partners on global mobility programs, policy compliance, and strategic talent mobility.Excellent communication skills to guide and advise diverse stakeholders.Initiative-driven, proactive, and autonomous.Able to work on a schedule that supports APAC region and overlap with Canada-based lead (mid-shift).
