We specialise in formal corporate insolvency / recovery appointments (liquidations, receiverships & voluntary administrations).
Since 2008 we have handled over 1,000 insolvency and restructuring assignments across multiple industry sectors including construction, property, financial services, hospitality and retail to name a few.Over the past few years, we have been in a phase of expansion, with us now having permanent offices in both the Wellington CBD and Christchurch CBD.With a litigious reputation in the industry, we regularly pursue complex recoveries, director breaches, voidable transactions and forensic reconstruction and analysis.Skills and qualificationsA lawyer with 2 – 5 years PQE who holds or is entitled to hold a practising certificateLitigation or corporate law experience preferred (but not required)Knowledge of and ability to draft pleadings and legal documentsStrong analytical, research and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and results focusedAbility to work well in a team environment and willing to assist junior lawyers and graduatesStrong verbal and written communication skillsDuties and responsibilitiesRegular appearances in the District and High Court handling complex litigation mattersManaging files, including transactions and court proceedingsProvide legal advice to directors / practitioners on insolvency matters, including complex recovery actionsConduct legal research and draft adviceWhat we offerCollaborative team environment with regular office & staff eventsOpportunities for professional development through CPD programmes and RITANZ membershipCompetitive salary package, including benefits such as health insuranceNext stepsPlease submit your application via e-mail to
