About the Role – Korero mo te Turanga
As a part-time Executive Coordinator within Te Uru Rakau – New Zealand Forest Service (Te Uru Rakau), your primary focus is to provide high-level support to a Director : helping them be effective with their time, support communications, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This role could be perfect for someone re-entering the workforce, working school hours, or looking for a role that fits around other commitments.
It is not just administrative; you will think ahead, scan for what matters, and help shape the Director's day with confidence and context.
You will work closely with other Directors and Executive Coordinators as well as engage with other agencies and departments in a dynamic, complex environment.
Forestry is fun, and this role lets you be part of it without needing to be in the forest.
Responsibilities
Provide support to the Director, including diary management and scheduling of meetings
Carry out a range of administrative functions to assist the Director
Ensure an efficient flow of papers, information, and presentations
Draft correspondence and manage the Director's inbox
Arrange meeting logistics including agenda preparation and minute taking

Low level Security Clearance – most preferably a New Zealand citizen, who has resided continuously in New Zealand for at least the last five (5) years, OR
Citizen of, and / or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five (5) years : Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.
