About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is tasked with providing project management services across a portfolio of large projects, from initiation through to closure, including definition, approach, planning, organising and technically leading and controlling the completion of allocated projects. The role ensures all contracted projects are delivered to the highest quality standard, within scope, in budget and on time. The position can be based in either our Christchurch or Wellington office. Flexible working arrangements are offered, but regular in‑office presence is required at least 3 days per week.
What You’ll Do
- Exceed our customers’ expectations – both external and internal.
- Manage medium to large projects through initiation to closure, ensuring quality standards within time / cost constraints and meeting contractual and budget requirements.
- Lead project teams operating on complex / large projects in a multi‑platform technical environment.
- Coordinate documentation, design, development and testing of enhancements and new development projects.
- Tailor project methodology to individual projects when needed.
- Prepare project budgets, obtain timely approvals and monitor financials and realization of defined benefits.
- Communicate project health regularly to all stakeholders, including scope, budget, risks and issues, and run steering committee meetings.
- Apply stakeholder‑management disciplines to exceed expectations.
What You’ll Bring
Self‑motivation and a strong desire to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.Experience working on large projects in consulting or customer environment.Ability to build and lead collaborative project teams to achieve organisational goals.Broad and deep understanding of technical software development and implementation projects.Experience in managing AI projects is ideal, but adaptability and willingness to learn is essential.Strong communication skills with proven stakeholder‑management experience.Strong financial management practice and understanding of cost, utilisation and revenue relationships.Experience with Agile, Staged and Waterfall methodologies preferred.Why Join Us
