• About the Role
• The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of multiple complex capital business cases, project and fleet delivery across their region (and the motu as required) aligning to the approved capital plan for clinical equipment. There is a strong focus on the delivery of the Clinical Equipment plan by the Health Technology Management (HTM) group, and you will be joining a growing national team driving to deliver a broad range of clinical equipment. This role will be accountable for various key projects of high value and complexity, that may require integration with other portfolios such as Infrastructure and Digital teams, often spanning multiple financial years.Stakeholders will include senior HNZ Leadership and Management, including Clinical Network Leads, Group Directors of Operations as well as Regional leadership. This role will be a key interface on projects and from time-to-time will present updates and progress reports to the Health Technology Management (HTM) team and Regional Capital Committees as and when required.
• About the Team / Service / Location
• This role will have a strong focus on delivery of the clinical equipment capital plan and contribute to the delivery targets that have been set. This function works closely with the Regional HTM Delivery Managers, local clinical areas, other asset portfolios including Finance Enterprise Capital Investment, Procurement, Supply Chain and Clinical Product Management to lead and oversee delivery of the clinical equipment capital plan.This role is a 3-year fixed-term contract to deliver the outcomes set out in the clinical equipment capital plan and is to be based in the Wellington / Central region.

• You are an experienced Project Manager and a self-starter who thrives on developing and delivering initiatives and projects on time, within budget, and in scope - ensuring full benefits realisation. With a strong understanding of medical devices and lifecycle management, you bring a robust knowledge of New Zealand's health system and how clinical technology integrates within it.We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with exceptional planning and prioritisation skills, a high degree of problem-solving ability, and a proven track record of building and maintaining strong professional relationships to join our growing national team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse range of people, demonstrating adaptability and effective communication in complex environments.
• Experience and Expertise :
• Need to draw on strong Project Management experience with a minimum of 8 years working in large complex health environments :
• Relevant degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant field and / or equivalent level of practical experience
• Post-graduate qualification / certification e.g. Prince2 / PMP or equivalent level of practical complex end-to-end project delivery experience in the public health environment
• Minimum 8 years' experience preferably in Health or other Government Industries with exposure to clinical equipment deployment, infrastructure or digital asset portfolios, in a project leadership role
• Experience in leading a range of stakeholder workshops such as Investment Logic Mapping, risk and lessons learned
• Demonstrated people management experience in managing and leading teams to successfully deliver large complex projects
