ABOUT THE ROLE
The Application and Integration specialist based in Hamilton will provide expert-level technical support for enterprise applications and integration solutions, ensuring systems are configured, maintained, and developed to meet organisational needs.
Works closely with business owners, users, vendors, and technical partners to design, implement, and support new systems, integrations, and configuration changes.
Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving system and integration issues, performing root cause analysis, and applying corrective actions.
Deliver hands-on development using vendor tools and SQL, while maintaining alignment with policies, architecture principles, and solution designs.
Supports mission-critical applications by ensuring resilience, stability, and performance targets are met.
Actively documents configurations, support processes, and audit findings, while conducting regular performance reviews and regression testing to maintain system integrity.
Collaborates across teams to deliver timely implementations, enhance digital environments, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Provides specialised guidance to engineers, analysts, and business owners, supports data stewardship, and delivers training to build system capability across the organisation.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Extensive experience with the TechnologyOne ERP suite, including formal training and hands-on expertise in supporting, configuring, and enhancing enterprise applications.
IT or Business degree with 5+ years' applications experience, complemented by certifications in relevant technologies and methodologies such as ITIL and PMP.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL, with strong knowledge of coding principles, operating systems, databases, and the full Software Development Lifecycle.
Skilled in cloud-based systems and services, with proven experience in Application DevOps environments and managing multi-vendor SaaS strategies.
Strong track record in delivering projects across DevOps, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies, producing clear documentation accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven experience integrating solutions using APIs, middleware, and automation tools, with strong knowledge of REST / SOAP APIs, JSON / XML, and integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps).
Skilled in scripting and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, and SQL, with exposure to automation tools and practical application of AI for conversational, embedded, and decision-support solutions.
